We are working on putting together a calendar of our upcoming Blog post and would like to hear from you on what would you like to see us talk about? With that being said we figured starting out with our current inventory that we have on the market and coming soon to the market would be a great place to start.

But I cannot say that I blame you I mean, new home and a new high school in the future. This seems like a win win.
The neighborhood is growing because the area is growing. Hamburg is just around the corner and you can find everything from fast food to fine cuisine or a movie to watch before your dinner and everything in between. The amount of shops, restaurants, Costco, Cabela’s, the New YMCA facility, and the area has great access to the interstate too. This is why this area is doing so well in Lexington 40509.

The Spring market is in full bloom with lots of new homes being built by James Monroe Homes but we had a lot of people that were waiting to see what the projected redistricting process looked like. When our agents Jason Preece & Pam Brooks host our model home open during the weekends that was one of the biggest obstacle that people seemed to be faced with.
With all of that happening the housing market became low on inventory in Fayette County because no one was buying or selling until they saw the projected plan for schools in Fayette County. Now since the process is nearing its end the market has exploded with new buyers and sellers and we would love to help you with your new home.
You can get the best, most energy efficient, and comfortable heating system money can buy, but if your building envelope is not built properly you will never receive the fullest potential of the unit you purchased.
Did you know we have customers who have reported to us that their electric bill during this past cold month with subzero temperatures was slightly over $100 for their four bedroom 1750 sq ft home and another customer reported having an electric bill of only $300 for their 5,500 sq ft home. Both these homes only had an electric heat pump as their sole heating source? This is because James Monroe Homes are built with a very tight building envelope.
Did you freeze all winter and still find out that your utility bills were still sky high! Did you think your electric bill was your car payment this month? This can be a tough time of the year. It is hard to budget for these high utility cost and you never know how much you have spent until after the bill arrives in your mail box.
Let’s start off by explaining what type of heating systems are most common in our area so you can identify with what is in your home. The four most common heating units we put in our homes are Geothermal, Dual Fuel, Electric Heat Pump, and Gas furnace. Kentucky has some of the cheapest electric rates in the country. Therefore most homes utilize electric consumption to heat their homes.

To a seriously ill child, the opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood can be the best medicine of all. It may be the inspiration that motivates the child to hang in there through a time of great suffering and burdensome treatments. The Dream Factory, Inc. was founded in 1980 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, by Charles Henault. Today, through over 38 chapters nationwide, including the Lexington, Kentucky chapter, the Dream Factory grants dreams to children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with critical or chronic illnesses. The Lexington Chapter of the Dream Factory grants dreams to children in the Lexington, Southern and Eastern Kentucky area. Dream requests pour in weekly, and the timeframe for granting those dreams are often dictated by physician’s permission and health restraints. In the calendar year of 2011, the Lexington chapter granted 19 dreams, ranging from trips to Disney World, concert tickets and backstage passes, and shopping sprees. The Lexington Dream Factory is solely dependent upon fundraising. The Dream Factory hosts an annual gala in the spring/summer which is made possible by corporate sponsorships.
