Position Summary
Start a Career in New Home Sales
James Monroe Homes is seeking a motivated, organized, and people-oriented New Home Sales Assistant to support our Sales Team while learning the new home construction sales business from the ground up.
This role is designed as a development pathway into a James Monroe Homes New Home Sales Consultant position. You will work directly alongside our Sales Consultants, gaining hands-on experience in customer interactions, lead management, community operations, and the homebuilding process, while participating in structured training and ongoing professional development designed to support your growth into a successful sales career.
If you are driven, coachable, and eager to build a long-term career in sales, this position provides structured learning and real-world experience with an established and growing homebuilder.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the first point of contact for incoming buyer inquiries
Respond to and nurture leads through phone, email, and CRM communication
Assist Sales Consultants with appointments, showings, and follow-up
Help manage client communication throughout the homebuilding process
Maintain accurate records and daily activity updates in our CRM (LASSO)
Support model home operations and community presentation standards
Assist with administrative and sales support tasks as needed
Learn James Monroe Homes products, systems, and sales processes
What You’ll Learn
New construction sales fundamentals
Lead qualification and customer discovery
Appointment setting and sales pipeline management
CRM and sales systems used by professional homebuilders
The homebuilding and contract-to-closing process
Effective communication with buyers, agents, and construction teams
Schedule
Full-time, five-day workweek (including weekends), based between our main office in Lexington and our beautifully appointed model homes across our communities.
